Chaplaincies

Jersey General Hospital, Gloucester Street 

Father Brian Sandeman is the Catholic chaplain for the hospital.   Fr Sandeman can be contacted by telephone on 01534  722909.  Other priests are on a rota to be called at night.

Deacons and nominated laity also visit the hospital regularly, taking Holy Communion to patients.

Jersey Hospice Care, St Lawrence

Clarkson House, Jersey Hospice is both a day centre and a place of  residential care for patients with terminal illnesses.  Father James McAuley is the Catholic Chaplain.  Fr James can be contacted by telephone on 01534 720235, at the Presbytery, St Thomas’, Val Plaisant, St Helier, and by  email at centreparish@jerseymail.co.uk

La Moye Prison

HM Prison, La Moye is the island prison.  Mr David Cahill is the Catholic Chaplain.  He can be contacted by telephone on  01534 441887 (07797752151) or by email at d.cahill@gov.je

There is also a lay assistant who regularly visits the prison to assist with Catholic Services.
